USS Midway Museum

Description

The USS Midway Museum, a historic naval aircraft carrier museum, is located in downtown San Diego at Navy Pier.

The museum is home to the aircraft carrier Midway.

The ship is home to a large collection of aircraft, many of them built in Southern California.

From 1945 to 1992, the USS Midway was America’s longest-serving aircraft carrier.

The carrier was home to approximately 200,000 Sailors, and was responsible for many naval aviation breakthroughs as also humanitarian missions.

It was the only carrier that served the entire Cold War and beyond.

It is now a museum ship in San Diego.
