The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center at The University of Texas at Austin serves as Texas’ state botanical garden and arboretum.
The center houses more than 900 native Texas plants, both in natural and garden settings.
It also hosts a variety of educational programs and events.
The center covers 284 acres and is located 10 miles southwest from downtown Austin, Texas, just outside the Texas hill country.
It is located between the Edwards Plateau ecosystem and Texas Blackland Prairies.
